Namibia is home to some of the most incredible wildlife in the world. So, if you plan to visit, you'll want to experience it with no one else around. That's now possible thanks to the opening of Habitas Namibia, which is situated on over 120,000 acres of a private wildlife reserve.

The unique property is the second from the hospitality brand that focuses on sustainability, community, and a shared experience. To embrace the natural surroundings and enhance the sense of exclusivity, the hotel comprises just 15 safari rooms. On-site is a natural-look swimming pool, outdoor movie theater, and communal dining area to encourage both connections between guests and nature. Of course, safari drives are included as well, where you'll be able to view wild animals on private land without others around.

Other wellness offerings include a sound journey meditation, indigenous spa treatments, dance classes, drum circles, yoga, and agora gatherings with local live music. And to check off the community and sustainability pillars, Habitas can arrange for guests to train with an anti-poaching unit and learn survival skills from local San tribesmen. This is part of the brand's overall community impact initiative called Habitas Rise.

What's more, is the structures themselves were built sustainably using Habitas' innovative modular build. An in-house team created the pieces then delivered and assembled them on-site using sustainable materials to ensure the minimal impact on the environment.

Incredibly, all of this is located just 45 minutes from Windhoek airport, the country's primary flight hub.

"We've seen our community-minded focus on sustainability and reciprocal learning inspire and bring people together time and again," Habitas co-founder & CEO, Oliver Ripley, told Departures in a statement. "We're excited to bring that vision to life to create an enduring positive impact on both our guests and the community that welcomes us."

This new opening comes after the brand opened its first property in Tulum, Mexico, in 2017. Now, there are plans to expand the unique design model globally, with new properties to open in Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Costa Rica throughout 2021.
