Luxury developers are always looking for ways to stand out to potential buyers. So, for the builders of The Residences at Secret Bay in Dominica, six-star accommodations in the stunning rainforest weren't enough. They're offering a coveted second passport to attract new residents to the luxury villas within the gated community.
The all-villa rainforest resort—and member of Relais & Châteaux—recently announced the completion of its first phase of the new Hillside Ti-Fèy Villas and whole-ownership sales program with built villas starting at $1.49 million. Both options have sweeping sea, mountain, rainforest views and stunning architectural details that blend casual coastal elegance with modern amenities like fully-appointed gourmet kitchens. Many have private plunge pools and outdoor showers, as well as hammocks and daybeds.

But, the highlight has to be the unique citizenship option that comes with the purchase. Called Citizenship by Investment (CBI), the program allows individuals or families to secure a second passport and citizenship "based on contributions to the economy, society, culture or other interests as authorized by a sovereign government," according to the release. And while most of the CBI product has sold out, the newly built Hillside Ti-Fèy Villas offer a new rare opportunity for those to secure the passport.
And if that's not all, ownership also includes membership and access to a network of vacation homes through ThirdHome. Yes, if you want to stay somewhere other than your luxury treehouse villa, there are 11,000 other properties in 94 countries from which to choose.

Or, as Gregor Nassief, proprietor of Secret Bay and chairman and CEO of GEMS Holdings Limited put it in a statement to Departures, this is a rare opportunity "For those seeking a private island experience our location, tucked away on the unspoiled 'Nature Island' coupled with six-star hyper-personalized service."
Pricing for The Residences at Secret Bay starts at $1.49 million for whole ownership or $218,000 per share for citizenship investors.
