WHERE TO EAT: Café Clover

A new favorite of mine is Greenwich Village restaurant Café Clover (pictured left). Either seated inside or out on the patio, you’ll have a wonderful experience. They serve farm-to-table, seasonal fare, which means there's always something new and exciting to try—I’m a big fan of the cauliflower steak and the rhubarb tart. 10 Downing St,; 212-675-4350; cafeclovernyc.com.

WHERE TO WORKOUT: SLT

If you’re looking for something low impact but high in ‘kick-your-ass’ core exercise, SLT is the best thing since gluten-free sliced bread. The 50-minute class is centered around a large Pilates-style reformer which is used in every capacity from sitting to standing and leaning. The fantastic teachers will help you find the best amount of tension in the cables so that you have resistance and great form. Half-way through, I was sweating more than I do after a two-hour run in Central Park. Try it. You’ll love. Multiple locations; sltnyc.com.

WHERE TO SHOP: Aedes de Venustas

For fancy fragrances from Frederic Malle's Iris Poudre to L'Eau D'Hiver and fantastic felt shoes, try this under-the-radar gem in SoHo. A friend turned me onto it with a beautiful birthday gift and I have been a fan ever since. If you're looking for something a little extravagant but incredibly special, this is the magic spot. 9 Christopher St.; 212-206-8674; aedes.com.
