It’s no secret that interest in road-tripping increased over the past year. In fact, according to AAA, 34 million Americans are planning Memorial Day road trips, and auto travel is expected to increase 52 percent compared to 2020. So, three luxury companies decided to join together to make that love of hitting the road a bit more luxurious this summer. Auberge Resorts Collection, Black Tomato, and Mercedes-Benz recently announced they partnered to create five new road trip itineraries throughout the United States.

Each trip starts and ends at one of the Auberge Resorts Collection properties with an itinerary filled with stops at hidden gems across the country. For example, the Sunrise to Sunset on the California Coast itinerary is an eight-night trip along the coast starting at Ventana Big Sur. It includes stops in Napa Valley with a sunrise hot air balloon ride. On the east coast, you would begin at Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Resorts Collection in Connecticut before heading south to The Inn at Perry Cabin in on the Chesapeake Bay and Primland in Virginia while learning about abolitionist Frederick Douglass and riding RTVs.

And the Wild Gourmet in the Southwest itinerary is a 10-night journey that explores the Rockies and the Rio Grande with stays at The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection in Park City, Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection in Telluride’s backcountry, and the new Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection in Santa Fe. There’s also a trip through the deserts of Texas and New Mexico, as well as a 12-night Artisan Masterclasses in New England itinerary. All of the trips will give participants options from the luxurious car fleet, including the 2021 S-Class and the ultra-luxe GLS600 Maybach.

“Following a year of limited travel, multi-stop trips allow guests to discover more of the beauty that this country has to offer,” Craig Reid, president & chief executive officer, Auberge Resorts Collection, told Departures in a statement. “With the expertise of Black Tomato, we’ve conjured up some of the most exquisite stateside journeys, so guests can experience multiple destinations in one trip, all while staying at our award-winning Auberge properties.”

Prices vary depending on the trip and include accommodation, daily breakfast, and a customized private experience program.
