Airbnb and the Louvre announced Tuesday that they're transforming the famous museum into a hotel — for one night and one time only.
In what sounds like a late April Fools' joke — if April Fools' were meant to tease art lovers — the vacation rental service and the museum are giving away the chance to stay in arguably the most famous museum in the world.
Sit and admire the Mona Lisa in your pop-up living room. Gaze at the sky from the Louvre Pyramid. Fall asleep knowing you're surrounded by some of the world's priceless artworks.
"We know that many people would love the opportunity to wander alone at night through the Louvre and we want this to be a magical and unforgettable experience," Anne-Laure Béatrix, deputy managing director of the Louvre, said in a statement.
To enter, you have to answer one question: "Why would you be the Mona Lisa's perfect guest?"
If you think you've got the right answer, submit it before midnight French time (that's 6 p.m. EST) on April 12 at airbnb.com/louvre.
