New York City is home to a lot of sites that elicit a plane ticket, but it’s adding another one to its roster: the tallest outdoor observation deck in the western hemisphere.

“Edge” is slated to open up next year as a part of the ongoing Hudson Yards development and it will take visitors more than 1,100 feet above ground to take in some of the best views in the city. According to CNN Travel, Edge will be the fifth-tallest outdoor observation deck in the world.

The observation deck itself will have a glass floor, which in all honesty‚ is the best way to get a full feel for how high you truly are. Aside from incredible sights, the building will also feature a massive restaurant, bar, and event space, all accessible after a 60-second elevator ride up 100 floors.

In an interview with The Villager, Jason Horkin, executive director of the Hudson Yards Experiences, shared some words on the project: “Edge invites visitors to walk out into the sky and embrace unobstructed, panoramic views of New York City like never before. The name reflects both the unique structural design, which pierces the sky when observed from below, and the exhilarating feeling of being on the brink of something exceptional—exactly where you are on edge.”

The observation deck has currently opened up group bookings for early 2020, but a public opening has not been shared.
