Sure, you might book a beachfront hotel room or one that overlooks rolling country hills. But, finding one with a view of a natural wonder? That’s worth booking the entire trip.

The new Glacier View Lodge is a luxury lodge in Jasper National Park located along the Icefields Parkway in Canada (aka one of the most picturesque drives in the world). And because of its prime location, they decided to construct the hotel around its best feature: the Athabasca Glacier. Yes, from the lobby area and restaurant to many of the guest rooms, guests are treated to amazing glacier views near the second largest dark sky preserve in the world.

Overall the style of the space is minimal and clean to allow the views to act as the main decor. You can connect with nature and take in the unique atmosphere while laying in your plush bed or by having a cocktail by the fireplace alongside the floor-to-ceiling windows in the common space.

What’s more, they offer an all-inclusive package that lets guests get up close to the glacier. And since the property is perched along the route that connects Banff and Jasper National Parks in the Canadian Rockies, they packed everything into 24 hours so you can continue along your Canadian nature journey.

Upon arrival, you’ll start with a champagne welcome reception, which is then followed by a private evening tour on the Athabasca Glacier with canapés and mulled wine. Once you return, you’ll be treated to a three-course gourmet dinner overlooking the glacier. But the night doesn’t end there.

After enjoying a Canadian-inspired meal (think tea smoked Canadian King Cole duck breast), you can head out to the Viewing Deck where you’ll gaze at the stars and enjoy live entertainment. A buffet breakfast and private morning tour on the Skywalk—a cliff-edged glass-floored walkway 918 feet above the Sunwapta Valley—is also included the next morning letting you experience the Columbia Icefields Parkway from all angles and times of day in just one visit.
