The Galapagos Islands are one of the few places on Earth that still feels untouched. And now you can make it feel like you have the archipelago all to yourself thanks to Origin & Theory by Ecoventura. The travel company just created the new “The Date Outdoors” package that’s led by your private naturalist guide and photographer.
Throughout the eight-day sailing, the dedicated naturalist will set up-close encounters with sea lions, marine iguana, and Blue Footed Boobies and take you hiking along with volcanic formations and snorkeling with penguins. Of course, the guide will answer all of your nature questions and act as a personal photographer for the duration of the sailing.
Origin & Theory by Ecoventura’s luxury expedition yachts already offers the most favorable guide-to-passenger ratio in the Galapagos, with one naturalist for every 10 guests. Most vessels comply with park regulations, providing one guide for every 16 guests. Onboard, guests have access to a full-time concierge to cater to their every whim, a sundeck with chic loungers and daybeds, a fitness center, and Jacuzzi from where you can bask under the Galapagos sun in between excursions.
Upping the luxury factor, the package includes two-nights accommodations at Relais & Chateaux’s Hotel del Parque in Guayaquil and private exploration of the shoreline by Zodiac or glass-bottom boat.
“The Galapagos as a destination is highly exclusive, and it should be approached as such,” Santiago Dunn, CEO of Ecoventura, told Departures. “Our fleet of luxury expedition yachts gives travelers an intimate experience around the archipelago that is simply not possible aboard larger vessels, starting with the most favorable naturalist-to-passenger ratio in the Galapagos.”
He added, “Think of us as floating boutique hotels complete with a concierge. This new experience ups the exclusivity factor by offering guests their own naturalist guide who will also capture the entire trip, not only providing a curated adventure but creating the sensation that they have these pristine islands all to themselves.”
This unique package is priced at $34,600 for two guests, and also includes all the amenities of an Ecoventura cruise, including all meals and gourmet snacks, open bar, use of snorkel equipment, wet suits, kayaks and stand up paddleboards.
