Post pandemic, responsible and sustainable tourism will be at the top of most people’s bucket lists, making the Galapagos Islands a perfect destination. But one company figured out how to check those boxes and add a whole lot of luxury to the trip, too. Private aviation company evoJets partnered with the luxurious American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts property Pikaia Lodge to create a package that lets you explore the remote vistas by private jet.

You’ll get roundtrip private transportation, VIP lounge access at Seymour Airport (Baltra Island - GPS), and contactless boarding before even starting your adventure. From there, you’ll get to stay at the 14-room boutique lodge that sits in the heart of a giant tortoise reserve on the edge of an extinct volcano in a private, remote location away from large crowds and tourist areas.

All-inclusive exploration packages are complemented by small group guided tours on the 105-foot private yacht, which is fully equipped with a sky deck, Jacuzzi, lounge, dining area. Plus, it is the only vessel in the Galapagos to have private cabins for day tours only. Additional half-day small boat and land excursions are also included, and you can participate in activities like snorkeling and mountain biking as well. And there are dedicated naturalist guides to explain the abundant wildlife that lives in the volcanic archipelago.

“Due to the challenging times everyone has faced in the past year, which severely affected the hospitality and travel industry, it has changed how we look at tourism, and the way we travel,” Adrián Serrentino, sales and marketing manager at Pikaia Lodge, told Departures. “The pandemic has proven that guests want to travel privately away from large, crowded airplanes and airport lounges. Just like evoJets, Pikaia Lodge offers exclusivity in one of the most beautiful destinations on our planet, the Galapagos Islands.”

The cost of experiencing a secluded paradise? The package starts at $9,310 per person for a 7-night minimum stay.
