If you’ve got a cool $5 million sitting in the bank waiting for a literal home, consider buying Bing Crosby’s Palm Springs house. The singer built his 1.36-acre Rancho Mirage ranch in 1957 and it was a known hangout for celebrities like Frank Sinatra and JFK. (Fun fact: There’s an entire section of the home known as the JFK Wing.)

It’s the ultimate party destination, with an outdoor pool and lounging area, as well as a poolside BBQ set-up. And, as you would imagine, the views are worth the price itself: You can peep the surrounding desert and the nearby mountain ranges from the pool. In fact, the pool with its surrounding fire pits is the main view from every room in the house.

According to Vacation Palm Springs, the 7,000-square-foot home comes with a movie theater that can seat six-eight people, as well as historic mid-century Hollywood film posters. The master suite alone takes up 1,400 square feet and has its own fireplace and an outdoor shower.

The home has five bedrooms, including the master suite, two of which share a full-size kitchen and private entrance. There is also a billiards area next to an indoor wet bar (and the pool table doubles as a ping pong table).

Let’s paint that picture: After a lazy morning of cooking breakfast—while listening to Bing Crosby, of course—hop in the pool for a quick swim and finish it up with a wash in the master suite outdoor shower. Invite some of your closest friends over for an early movie in the private theater followed by an outdoor BBQ next to the pool fire pits. End the night around the fire with a drink in hand. If that isn’t the perfect day, we’d like to hear what is.

The home has most recently been used as a luxury rental with Vacation Palm Springs. It’s now listed on the Douglas Elliman real estate website for a going rate of $5 million. If this sounds like your dream home, or just something you want to know more about, check out the listing here.
