Belmond is known for its stunning hotels in top destinations. But with much of the world still restricted and travelers hesitant to hit the road, the luxury hospitality brand has launched a new set of accommodations. Exclusive Places is a portfolio of private escapes for small groups at hotels, trains, and cruises.

Sticking to their commitment to providing a unique experience for guests, the escapes will include overnight options that float, are perched on secluded beaches and above cities, as well as rural retreats. For example, Belmond’s famous trains and river cruises are available for private hire this summer. You and your family can enjoy private cars on board the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, or take over the Belmond Royal Scotsman.

A select fleet of river barges in France are also available for six-night charters. From August 16, six to 12 guests can sail along the picturesque waterways of Burgundy. The itineraries are fully-inclusive and can be customized to include private wine tastings from some of the region’s most exclusive vineyards like Puligny Montrachet. When not enjoying a bucket-list-worthy experience, you can lounge by the plunge pool and watch charming towns pass by.

If you’re looking for a beach escape, the coastal collection of Exclusive Places provides tropical island getaways in Thailand, Bali, and the Caribbean as well as beachfront city hideaways in Brazil, Sicily, Cape Town, and California. American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts property Belmond Cap Juluca in Anguilla, for instance, has private beachfront villas complete with kitchens, dining rooms, and private pools just steps from pristine beaches.

For those who still want a taste of the city from a safe distance, the urban collection of offerings includes hilltop locations above spots like Florence, a private island off the coast of Venice, a stay in the foothills of Table Mountain in Cape Town, and an escape near Luang Prabang in Laos. Belmond Hotel Cipriani, another American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts property, overlooks St. Mark’s Square but has a private entrance and boat dock for up to 32 guests.

And the rural retreats include stays in the rolling hills of Tuscany, green fields of Oxfordshire, and the hills of California. Belmond El Encanto, for example, provides private cottages along the Santa Barbara coastline. Many boast private terraces so you can enjoy a movie under the stars.

Prices for the Exclusive Places range depending on the property, length of stay, and travel dates.
