As travel begins to open up once again, people are seeking reconnection. So, Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti launched Connected Souls private photo safaris where you get an exclusive opportunity to enjoy the remote beauty of the Serengeti alongside award-winning wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks.

The unique offering takes place over a minimum of four nights. During that time, a custom itinerary will be curated with Joynson-Hicks that includes three half-day photo safaris, three content review sessions, and three expert talks or tutorials. You will learn how to capture the best photos with the award-winning professional wildlife photographer while enjoying half-day game drives exploring Park’s Central Seronera region.

After spotting and photographing the big cats, Joynson-Hicks will guide you through the editing process and provide future photos. He will also curate other talks and tutorials based on your personal interests. Each day can be tailored exactly as guests wish, whether heading out on safari at dawn before returning to the Lodge in the afternoon to review content and benefit from an expert tutorial with Paul. Or reviewing content in the morning ahead of an afternoon game drive to keep advice and techniques fresh in mind.

And there’s no better time for his experience.

“Inevitably, the pandemic has impacted visitor numbers to the Serengeti, which as a result allows travelers to enjoy wildlife viewing on an even more exclusive basis,” Justin Stevens, General Manager at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, told Departures. “Right now, we are surrounded by the herds of the great migration at the Lodge, and you need to travel hardly any distance at all before being immersed in what is arguably the greatest show on earth, with often no other safari vehicle even insight.

He added, “Through these photo safaris, guests are not only able to witness magnificent animals up-close and capture lifelong memories, but in turn, they will help to continue elevating the issue of what it is that makes this region so special; the wildlife.”

The minimum length of stay for the photo safaris is four nights. Still, guests can also choose to extend the experience for as many days as they wish and include other activities such as a hot air balloon safari or walking safari for the chance to witness the animals from a completely different perspective.

The cost starts at $3,360 per person (based on a minimum of two people sharing). It includes all listed activities, round trip transfers from Seronera Airstrip, three meals a day, beverages, and a laundry credit.
