Going on safari is a bucket list trip for many. But it can be time-consuming to hop between lodges. Often there is only one scheduled flight per day from one location to the next causing a lot of lost time in transit. Luxury hospitality company andBeyond found a solution to that problem by offering private jet itineraries. And while that was more about convenience before, you can feel much more secure while traveling in a post-COVID world.

"As travel begins to open up post-COVID, we've seen people seeking an ultra-private holiday to reconnect with family," Nicole Robinson, CMO of andBeyond tells Departures. "They're anxious to travel again and looking to do so in a way where they feel totally comfortable."

The itineraries can be completely customizable so that you can go to any lodges or locations in sub-Saharan Africa. For example, you could start your trip in Nairobi with a stay at Giraffe Manor. Then you can see the Great Migration at Bateleur Camp on the Masai Mara before visiting the Ngorongoro Crater at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge in Tanzania. You'll charter a private flight to Victoria Falls to spend the night at Matetsi River Lodge before heading to Kruger National Park for a stay at andBeyond Ngala Tented Camp. End your adventure in Cape Town before flying home. Incredibly, you can accomplish that entire itinerary in just 10 days.

Of course, since it's fully customizable, you could change it up and opt to stay on a private island at andBeyond Mnemba Island instead of another lodge. Other options include stopping in Rwanda to see the mountain gorillas or spending a few nights in the desert at the newly reopened Sossusvlei Desert Lodge in Namibia.

"Our private jet safaris make traveling around Africa totally hassle-free—no unnecessary overnights in transit, no running through crowded airports, privately guided throughout by a specialist guide and accommodated in sole-use properties," said Robinson. "It's private and available for groups as small as 6 to 12 guests."
