It’s really easy to fall in love with Marrakech—from lush gardens to busy souks and elegant riads, the city takes you on a cultural trip that overwhelms the senses.

To be able to enjoy all of it, though, you need to come well prepared. The weather, of course, is a major factor—summers in Marrakech are hot and dry but evenings can get a little chilly so you should always pack a jacket. And speaking of clothes to bring, the city may be accustomed to Western tourists but we would avoid wearing revealing dresses or showing too much skin. That being said, if there’s a pool in your hotel, feel free to wear whatever bathing suit you would normally opt for.

Chances are that you will be exploring the city on foot so a comfortable pair of shoes is essential. Hand sanitizer, a water bottle, and a power bank are some of the things to always carry in your backpack. If you’d rather tour the city as light as possible, simply go for a stylish belt bag, though.

Here we rounded up everything you need for a delightful trip to Marrakech.
