Beach days are almost upon us as temperatures will soon be rising in the Northern Hemisphere. We’d like to think of hats as not just summertime accessories but as necessities (or maybe that’s just us looking for an excuse to do some summer shopping). You really can’t, and shouldn’t, spend an entire day at the beach without a topper to shield you from the sun. So, you might as well make it count, at least in fashion terms.

You really can’t go wrong with a fedora––it has such a universal appeal to both women and men. Our guess is because the style is both flattering and amps up the cool factor of any outfit.

If your main concern is the sun, opt for a hat with a wider brim. Those made from natural materials, such as raffia, are of course the best choice for the warm days ahead of us.

Keep scrolling for our selection of the chicest Panama hats, fedoras, boaters, trilbies, and sombreros, to complement your summer outfits.
