A New Vision of West Africa

An emerging generation of young creators are forging a contemporary vision of...

Just in time for the holidays—and the wonderful black-tie soirees that punctuate the season—Harry Winston celebrates time (it’s the most wonderful of the year) in true style. Turning to its rich roots as a purveyor and designer of diamond jewelry, the house unveils the new Art Deco-styled My Precious Time, a brooch-watch design decked in 368 dazzling diamonds weighing 12.4 carats in all.

Inspired by men’s pocket watches, the stunning timepiece is as versatile as it is exquisite, transforming from a jeweled brooch to a quartz-powered watch with the touch of a “button” (a marquise-cut diamond attached to a latch). When released from the 18-karat white-gold pin, the secret octagon-shaped dial—suspended from the pin by a subtle chain—shimmers with 142 brilliant-cut diamonds. Spilling onto both sides of the “case” are 63 brilliant-cut diamonds, 20 baguette-cut diamonds, and six marquise-cut diamonds. A large 1-carat cushion-cut center stone surrounded by a floral motif accents the geometric lines of the brooch, with an additional 136 brilliant-, baguette-, and marquise-cut diamonds adorning the rest of the design, with 70 baguette-cut diamonds invisibly set to form the cylinder shape of the brooch.

Though the holiday season won’t last forever, thankfully diamonds do. Price on request; harrywinston.com.
