With a portfolio of over four decades worth of work, artist Daniel Brush has created everything from large-scale canvases and drawings to delicate gold domes and stainless steel sculptures. The self-taught professional, however, has become most celebrated for his sculptural, metallic jewelry pieces—such as his brushed steel and diamond poppy brooches, and etched bracelets and necklaces.

Now, in collaboration with French fine jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels, Brush has created handmade, one-of-a-kind cuffs and chokers to be displayed in his first exhibition since his 2012 show at MAD in Manhattan. The free exhibition, "Cuffs and Necks," showcases over 70 cuffs and 78 chokers—all made from steel, diamonds, and precious stones—totaling over five years of work.

As a former university professor, Brush intends for this spectacle to be approached as an art showcase, igniting “a charged intellectual and emotional pursuit that would break down barriers and make ideas more transparent, or…even more difficult.”

The exhibition is on view now through October 31 at Paris’s L'École des Arts Joailliers; 31 Rue Danielle Casanova; lecolevancleefarpels.com.
