Ferragamo makes is possible to wear your heart on your sleeve this season with their collection of Cuore timepieces for women. First unveiled at Baselworld in 2016, the watch made its official debut in stores in June 2016. Now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the fashion house releases a new version in red. Ornamentation aside, the Cuore (“heart” in Italian) sports some ingenious technology at its core, making it more than just a sweet design.
Main Features of the Cuore Ferragamo
The 39 mm yellow gold IP, quartz-powered watch features a silver dial decorated in the brand’s iconic Gancino motif. An off-centered subdial at 10:00, encircled by a ring of 40 brilliant-cut diamonds or an engraved Clou de Paris motif, tells the time with gold hour and minute hands. But the watch’s real showmanship lies in the heart located at 6:00, which comes in gold IP plate, steel, and new to 2017, red enamel. Using an innovative, patented device designed and manufactured exclusively for Salvatore Ferragamo, the heart expands and contracts, the two halves separating momentarily and then reuniting—“beating” once a second on demand. (The wearer starts the function by pressing the crown.) Time is set via a recessed button at 2:00, accessible with a heart-shaped tool.
