Making appearances on the wrists of actors such as Pierce Brosnan in “Remington Steele” and Charlie Sheen in “Wall Street,” Cartier’s iconic Panthère watch was originally released in 1983 and has been out of production for the past 13 years. Now the classic style has been reborn—and this time, it aims to court the women’s market.

After recently launching best-selling men’s styles (such as the Drive de Cartier and the Calibre de Cartier Diver), the French brand (owned by Swiss luxury group Compagnie Financière Richemont) has designed the latest Panthère for the female wrist.

While faithful to the same general aesthetic and quartz movement as the original, the new edition features stronger links, water resistance, and a slimmer design. More delicate than ever before, the new design is meant to be layered with other (equally iconic) pieces, such as Cartier’s "Love" bracelet.

The core collection consists of 14 styles, available in two sizes (small and medium) and a range of materials (yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, stainless steel, and enamel), with or without diamond paving.

Starting at $4,000 for the small steel iteration, the pieces go up to $123,000 for the medium white-gold-and-diamond, panther-spotted piece. All options are available on cartier.com.
