Each year the Oscars mark the end of awards season in Hollywood. Of course, it’s not just the most prestigious movie award show that brings together Tinseltown’s finest, it’s also one of the most important fashion events of the year. Celebrities and their stylists prepare for months to get just the right look. In fact, Halle Berry once said that getting ready for the Academy Awards was “more stressful” than actually walking down the red carpet.

Through the years the Academy Awards red carpet has given us so many memorable moments—Gwyneth Paltrow’s pale pink Ralph Lauren taffeta dress, Jennifer Lawrence’s strapless Dior gown (which later tripped the actress on her way to receive the award), and Lupita Nyong’o’s custom V-neck Prada dress in a shade which she called “Nairobi blue,” a nod to the Kenyan capital where she grew up.

And while events such as The Golden Globes and SAG awards also bring about many gorgeous looks, both designers and actors keep the best for last... and this year is no exception.

From Gemma Chan’s absolutely stunning magenta Valentino Couture gown to Nicholas Hoult’s unique Dior tuxedo, see the most stylish celebrities that walked the red carpet of the 91st Academy Awards.

Constance Wu

Wu’s off-the-shoulder Versace gown is giving us some serious ‘Beauty and the Beast’ vibes.

Emilia Clarke

Clarke opted for a sparkly lilac Balmain gown designed by Olivier Rousteing.

Michelle Yeoh

The “Crazy Rich Asians” actress is glowing in this Elie Saab off-the-shoulder gown.

Yalitza Aparicio

The ‘Roma’ actress and Oscars nominee is so beautiful in this custom mint-hued tulle Rodarte dress.

Regina King

King opted for this stunning strapless Oscar de la Renta gown.

Trevor Noah

‘The Daily Show’ host looks sharp in a classic black tuxedo by Salvatore Ferragamo, matching bowtie, and a white shirt.

Gemma Chan

The cast of ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ is winning the red carpet this year. Chan is absolutely stunning in this sleeveless Valentino Couture number and Bvlgari jewelry.

Jennifer Hudson

The singer who performed during the awards show wore an asymmetric crepe Elie Saab gown on the red carpet.

Nicholas Hoult and Joe Alwyn

‘The Favorite’ actors walked the red carpet together and looked so handsome. Hoult wore a custom Dior tuxedo while Alwyn went for one by Tom Ford.

Leslie Bibb

The actress is a vision in this gorgeous embroidered Armani number.

Brie Larson

Larson’s metallic halter-neckline dress by Celine is a total winner in our book.

Rami Malek

The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ actor opted for a classic combination tonight—a black three-piece tuxedo and a white shirt. — PHOTO IN: rami-malek-red-carpet-2019-oscars-academy-awards-OSCARS0219.jpg

Jlo and Alex Rodriguez

Hot couple alert! Jennifer Lopez stuns in this sexy metallic Tom Ford number.

Billy Porter

Porter’s jaw-dropping tuxedo gown, signed by Christian Siriano, is definitely pushing (fashion) boundaries and we are totally here for it.

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk

Cooper, whose movie ‘A Star is Born’ is nominated for Best Picture, arrives at the red carpet looking sharp, accompanied by his gorgeous supermodel girlfriend Irina Shayk.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone’s Louis Vuitton dress proves details matter—it has a simple silhouette but the exaggerated shoulders make all the difference.

Lady Gaga

Gaga may have opted for classic black but the design of her Alexander McQueen gown was anything but classic—the exaggerated hips totally stole the show. And we are not mad about her leather gloves either.

Helen Mirren

The actress is definitely having fun in this pink Schiaparelli Haute Couture dress and Harry Winston jewelry.
