The Hoodie of the Future

British clothier Vollebak makes garments for today’s superhero.

Just last week, Louis Vuitton opened its traveling retrospective, Volez, Voguez, Voyagez, at the old American Stock Exchange building in downtown Manhattan. The show—which, prior, has been held in Paris, Tokyo and Seoul—celebrates and details the lineage of Louis Vuitton’s commanding legacy in luxury since 1854, especially in luxury travel (after all, the house was founded with voyaging in mind; who hasn’t lusted after a vintage Vuitton trunk?).

Complementing the expo, Louis Vuitton is also discreetly hosting patrons—by private appointment—at the new Four Seasons Downtown Private Residences, located at 30 Park Place. The experience is designed as a bonus treat after the history lesson of Volez, Voguez, Voyagez: the temporarily converted apartment is displaying the brand’s current offerings, which include, but are not limited to hard-sided trunks in myriad sizes, bar sets, poker chip cases, roulette tables, design pieces from its Objets Nomades collection, and, of course, handbags galore.

Everything is available for purchase—and the point is that the Louis Vuitton galaxy is far greater than even its most devoted fans may know. If you love Louis, book an appointment now. (Spaces are limited as it’s only going through November 13; the appointment hotline is 1-866-884-8866.)
