Harry Winston is one of the world’s best known jewelers and is certainly synonymous with magnificent and mesmerizing diamond- and gemstone-studded bijoux. The brand’s luxury watch collections are committed to making timepieces that function as beautifully as they look.

Take for example, the Harry Winston Avenue CTM Dual Time. This stunning new watch pays homage to the company’s rich heritage with a rectangular diamond set case that evokes the brilliance of New York architecture in the Jazz Age. But with its two time counters, it is also a practical piece for the modern traveler.

New York State of Mind

Harry Winston founded his namesake boutique in Manhattan in 1932. The energy and glamor of the city has been the main inspiration for its creations. The Avenue collection gets its moniker from Fifth Avenue, the home to Harry Winston’s New York Flagship Salon. While the luxury house now has stores all over the world, the Avenue CTM Dual Time knows that it’s important to have a home base to keep you centered during your travels.

The design of the Dual Time has two easy-to-read counters on the dial. The larger counter tracks local time and features Roman numerals. The smaller counter displays the time at home with Arabic numerals. In addition, the orientation of the minute track is vertical for the local time counter and horizontal for home. These simple stylistic tricks help calculate time zone differences at a glance no matter how jet lagged you feel.

Jet Set

Frequent fliers will also appreciate the fact that the hour and minute hands are set by using totally independent crowns. This allows the wearer to easily adjust local time to non-standard differences of half-hour and quarter-hour deviations (used in countries like India, Iran and Nepal).

Another argument for making the Dual Time the go-to watch for women on the go is its reliability. For accuracy, it’s powered by a precision quartz movement. It’s water resistant to three bars, and the anti-reflective sapphire crystal can take on unexpected bumps in the road. And it comes with a super secure, 18-karat gold ardillon buckle set with six brilliant-cut diamonds that forms perfectly to the contours of the wrist.

In the Sky with Diamonds

The Dual Time features Harry Winston Avenue Collection signatures like the gently cambered, elongated case so that it sits comfortably on the wrist. The rectangular case is framed by the iconic arches that recall the grand doorway of Harry Winston’s Fifth Avenue Salon.

The numerals and the minute track also lend vintage vibes to the timepiece. The minute track is shaped like an emerald-cut stone (Harry Winston loved the shape so much that he used it in the company logo, which appears on the watch at the 12 o’clock position).

And of course there are diamonds: 42 brilliant-cut diamonds, in fact. Even the double crowns are set with truncated diamonds. These sparking stones are further set off against a glowing mother-of-pearl dial.

The Avenue CTM Dual Time is available in 18-karat rose gold and 18-karat white gold models all presented on seamless alligator leather straps with a lustrous pearl finish.
