Nobody does Halloween quite like celebrities. Naturally, they have the funds and the creative teams behind them to really take a costume to the next level. We picked out 12 of our favorites from Heidi Klum (who nails it every. single. year) as Jessica Rabbit to Ellen DeGeneres as Sofia Vergara (the “heels” are our favorite part). While she didn’t make it into our top 12, we have to give Lady Gaga props for her “ye olde fashioned ghost sheet” costume she sported in Paris in 2014. For someone who has been known to wear (what some would consider) costumes on a daily basis, this “basic boo” look was refreshing.

Klum clearly took Ms. Rabbit’s famous quote to heart, “I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way.”
Neil Patrick Harris and Family as Star Wars Characters
Neil and his family pride themselves on really bringing a cohesive look together each year. In 2015 they went for a Star Wars theme with Neil as Obi-Wan Kenobi and his husband, David Burtka, as Han Solo. Their kids, Harper and Gideon, were Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, naturally.
Michael Kors as Garden of Eden
In 2017 for Bette Midler’s annual Hulaween Gala, Kors went all biblical and botanical attending as ‘Eden’, complete with apple printed suit and giant faux rubber snake.
Bette Midler as Winifred Sanderson From Hocus Pocus
How meta for Midler to dress up as the character, Winifred Sanderson, from her film Hocus Pocus. Frankly, she looks better this go around for her 2016 Hulaween Gala.
Natalia Vodianova as a Jeff Koons Balloon Animal
We love a quality contemporary art reference and Vodianova looks like an Art Basel beauty in this inflatable latex look inspired by Jeff Koons' Balloon Venus (Red) sculpture she sported for a fundraiser she hosted in 2017.

Beyoncé roped her family into a retro costume collective in 2016 as Salt, Pepa, and DJ Spinderella of the pioneering 80s Hip-Hop girl group, Salt-N-Pepa.
The Rock as The Incredible Hulk
Now this one isn’t too far of a stretch, but seeing The Rock painted green and sporting a pretty poor wig still brings us joy. Sadly, he went for ripped denim instead of the oddly aubergine colored pants from the 70s version.
Chrissy Teigen as Guy Fieri
For the short-lived show The Fab Life, Chrissy Teigen really won Halloween back in 2015 for her Guy Fieri costume. With her spiky blonde wig, creepy facial hair, and Rockabilly flaming shirt, she went from diva to doppelganger while also hiding her baby bump.
Kourtney and Kim Kardashian as Michael Jackson and Madonna
No egos involved here when these two sisters dressed as the King and Queen of Pop. Referencing the 1991 Academy Awards when Michael and Madonna arrived ensemble, their looks are spot on. Of course, Kim got to be the glamorous one.

We aren’t sure of the backstory of this ravishing rouge costume that Jackson sported for film director M. Night Shyamalan's Halloween party, "Shyamaween,” in 2017 but we are definitely a fan. He is fully committed, from cap to jewels.
