At an unusually tame, down-to-earth Baselworld this year, high-fashion jeweler Bulgari still managed to make a statement with its brand-new self-winding watch—the third record-shattering timepiece in its Octo Finissimo collection.

Bulgari’s Octo Finissimo Watches

For the past few years, Bulgari has shown up at Baselworld, the industry’s biggest tradeshow, with a new recording-breaking watch from its innovative Octo Finissimo line. Now, after debuting the world’s thinnest tourbillion in 2014 and thinnest minute repeater in 2016, Bulgari takes on the everyday watch with the Octo Finissimo Automatic, the thinnest self-winding watch ever created—and the watch with the thinnest movement ever created.

Main Features of the Octo Finissimo Automatic

The 5.15mm thick timepiece is powered by the in-house movement caliber BVL 138, itself just 2.23mm thick (about the height of a ladybug). Crafted almost entirely out of titanium—buyers have a choice between a titanium or alligator leather strap—the watch isn’t only thin, but practically feather-light too, weighing in at just under 80-grams.

Price & Availability

The Octo Finissimo Automatic will become available in stores worldwide this month for $12,800 with the leather strap and $13,900 with the titanium bracelet.
