The great Pablo Picasso once said: “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”—and we couldn’t agree more. But curating beautiful and meaningful works of art to enjoy daily is no easy feat. It literally requires an academic degree, tons of knowledge in art history, and years of experience. So if you’ve always wanted to make a hobby of collecting art, but you don't know where to begin, you’re in luck.
Saatchi Art, the biggest online art gallery, just launched its first Ultimate Art Subscription Box—a bespoke, monthly service that will help you build an enviable art collection with the assistance of an expert.
Here’s how it works: first, you will be assigned to a curator who will work with you to understand your style, art preferences, and home aesthetics. Then your art advisor will create a personalized collection of works that you can choose from. This collection will be updated regularly, and, finally, each month an artwork of your choice will be delivered directly to your home, ready to hang.
“We represent a wide range of works from painting and photography to works on paper and sculpture. We are also experts in investing in emerging art,” says Rebecca Wilson, chief curator and vice president of Saatchi Art. “So we can recommend works in all mediums, depending on whether the recipient would like to build, for example, a black and white photography collection, a group of promising emerging artists, or a wide-ranging yet coherent selection of works for an entire home.”
Some of the names you can expect to see are photographer Emilie Möri, Chloe McCarrick, and multidisciplinary artist Marijah Bac Cam.
The Ultimate Art Subscription Box starts at $30,000. You can purchase it here.
