Remember the interactive museums of your childhood? Having the opportunity to collaborate with the exhibit in front of you was exhilarating. Now, children and adults alike have the chance to do just that. The l'Atelier des Lumieres, or Workshop of the Lights, museum in Paris is adding a new dimension to its new Vincent Van Gogh display.
The museum is planning on projecting 2,000 of the artist's paintings onto a wall that matches with a carefully curated playlist, according to the Matador Network. So much of the beauty in Van Gogh's paintings comes from the unique brush strokes he used and this new exhibit will allow visitors to get up close and very personal with the work, observing each painting right down to the individual brush strokes.

Works like The Sunflowers, Starry Night, and The Bedroom will be included in the new exhibit. Really, it's more like stepping into the painting than anything else and that's something you can't do just anywhere.
The l'Atelier des Lumieres, which opened in April 2018, focuses on digital art, covering all corners of the genre from work made for a digital audience to bringing more traditional works of art alive in a new medium. The Van Gogh exhibit is currently open to the public from Monday to Thursday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m with adult tickets for $14.50.
