"This show is like nothing I have ever seen," James Snyder, New York City's Harry Potter himself, muses of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. "I can't believe I get to do this!"

To anyone who has read the books or become a super-fan of the cinematic wonder that is the Harry Potter series, what could possibly be better than seeing your favorite characters up close as the story of their lives continues? For American Express Platinum Card Members, this is just one of the many VIP perks.

J.K. Rowling's Broadway continuation of Harry Potter's story, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, is set 19 years from where the story last leaves off and the only place to discover what the future holds for Harry, Ron, and Hermione is on stage. This Tony Award-winning live theater event is unprecedented in its display of stage magic and impressive showmanship, making the experience highly satisfying to fans and truly astounding to the little ones. Spoiler alert: You'll want to book seats with your American Express Platinum Card to truly experience the show.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child had the rare opportunity to remodel the iconic Lyric Theater, where it is performed in New York City, in order to create an "immersive experience that people want to dive into completely," says set designer Christine Jones. The redesign of the theater's interior offers Harry Potter fans the ability to "gather during part one and two [and continue] to be entertained and moved" by the show's fascinating experience.

"The underlying enchantment of the material is infused in the [design] process," says Jones of the set. "Everything has been carefully chosen and considered to blend in with the overall experience."

The show runs in two parts on select days: attend the first half on a Thursday night and the second half on a Friday or see both parts on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with a generous two-hour intermission between them.

American Express Platinum Card Members are offered exclusive access to the American Express allotment of highly coveted tickets. Free from the worry of finding the perfect seats, bring your family or friends to watch as some of the most incredible illusions of witchcraft and wizardry appear before your eyes.
