An update on the Parisian hotel landscape, from established classics to revamped favorites.

Actor Steve Martin once joked, “Boy, those French! They have a different word for everything.” The humor isn’t lost, but the deeper point is entirely relevant: France has a special way of doing it all, and that includes Paris’s approach to hospitality.

The hotels there are landmarks, with storied pasts and potent mythologies, and the landscape continues to change: from the forthcoming Peninsula Paris (scheduled to debut late this summer) to the highly anticipated 2015 reopening of the Ritz Paris after its extensive renovation to Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris, which has quickly become a favorite in its short three-plus years.
