In a city famous for its envelope-pushing architecture, nearly each one of Barcelona’s best-loved hotels is itself an architectural marvel. The styles themselves are varied and eclectic, including everything from a modernist mansion on Passeig de Gràcia to a boutique property in the Gothic Quarter that incorporates Roman ruins. While the Cotton House Hotel from Autograph Collection and the Serras Hotel were notable openings in 2015, many of the best hotels in Barcelona have been around for well over a decade and recent renovations are helping to keep them relevant. Still, all the hotels featured here put Catalan hospitality, good food, and well-considered design ahead of pomp and circumstance, assuring these properties will endure for decades to come.
