Yoga on Demand

For clients in New York and L.A., a new agency arranges in-home yoga and Pilates sessions.

Don’t let the name fool you: Yada, Yada, Yoga is not your neighborhood yoga studio. It is a high-end “lifestyle agency” based in Los Angeles and the brainchild of Jessica Gordon, who founded the company at age 22, after working as a production assistant in Hollywood. “Someone would want a massage on set,” says Gordon, “or an actor would need a yoga session in his hotel room, and no one knew who to call.” So Gordon went about creating a one-stop shop for all things health and fitness. “We take care of you from start to finish,” she says, “from finding you the trainer who will get you where you want to be physically and mentally, to arranging for a reflexologist to help you relax. We can even have a chef come cook you dinner afterward.”

The response to Gordon and her company has been so overwhelming that they recently expanded to New York, which sent Gordon on another exhaustive scouting mission for the best experts in the area. In one search for yoga instructors, she read 500 résumés, from which she interviewed just 15 candidates and hired only one. Her exacting standards are what make her service a success. “We have high expectations for the work we do,” Gordon says. “People call to tell me how our help changed their lives.” Services start at $150;

Of Note: Yada, Yada, Yoga has partnered with several top hotels, offering its services at the St. Regis in New York, and the Peninsula, Hotel Oceana and Beverly Wilshire in L.A.
