Venice's glass act

After six centuries of making the best Murano glass, Seguso Viro has opened a shop of its own. In St. Mark's Square, the new boutique showcases the Seguso family's filigree and glass-caning techniques, as well as brilliantly colored confections like the cerulean-blue-and-yellow Orizzonte collection ($225-$11,225) and the Stonehenge-inspired black-and-red Celtico line ($100-$5,360). "We are loyal to tradition," says the company's U.S. president, Gianluca Seguso, who represents the 22nd generation of Segusos. "But we do like to add a bit of a twist."
