The Buzz

What has the world come to?

Apparently to Dubai. Just off the coast of this United Arab Emirates city, the company Nakheel has begun constructing The World, 300 islands to be sold individually. For between $6 million and $37 million, you can buy the isles of Iran, Antarctica, or New York—but not Israel or Palestine (they won't exist for design reasons) or, for that matter, Australia. Some Kuwaitis beat you to it. 971-4/390-3333;
