Open: Year-round. A sister shop selling contemporary clothing is located just around the corner.
Offerings: Nestled in a stark glass cube on the fifth floor of Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron’s parking garage, the carefully edited mix of edgy wears includes Rick Owens, Rodarte, Givenchy and impossible-to-find labels such as If Six Was Nine and Junya Watanabe. Fine jewelry includes labels Aurora Lopez and Lydia Courteille.
Couture Creed: “We sell what we love, not necessarily what is commercial for our market,” says co-owner Erika Cohen, who runs the shop with her husband, Roma Cohen.
Anti-Tourist Types: Weekend warriors, French expats and Saudi royals. Did we mention rockers (Lenny Kravitz), movie stars (Kate Hudson) and starchitects (Zaha Hadid) shop here?
Alternative Souvenir: A $16,000 diamond-encrusted Chrome Hearts toilet plunger.
