At the Prêt-à-Portea at the Berkeley hotel, everything is à la mode—literally. The tea menu draws from the latest designer runway looks and replicates them in delicious cakes and sweets. The Jason Wu–inspired cherry bavarois and coconut cream is crowned with a pink skirt and biscuit high heel, and the Michael Kors safari opera cake with dark chocolate and mocha filling features the designer’s signature leopard print. There’s an impressive array of loose-leaf teas (try African Amber or Lapsang Souchong), but it might be more festive to opt for a flute of Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle.
