While some walk the line between hotel and museum, Louisville’s 21c Museum Hotel presents both side by side: The 90-room boutique hotel comes with a contemporary art museum attached, which houses a $10 million art collection comprised entirely of 21st-century artists, such as video artist Bill Viola and Slater Bradley, the youngest male artist to have a solo show at the Guggenheim. Its latest exhibit, “Book Weights (Human Carriage),” which opened in March, displays photographs by Ann Hamilton, which grew out of her work on an installation for the Guggenheim in 2009. 700 W.
