Lighten Up: New La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel

La Mer’s first illuminator will open your eyes in a whole new way.

Bright, youthful eyes just got a lot more attainable thanks to La Mer’s newest product, the Illuminating Eye Gel, available this month. As the first eye treatment the high-end skincare company has released in five years, the new gel adds a preventative measure to the corrective regimen the brand already offers.

Like La Mer’s other eye treatments—the Eye Concentrate, released in 2007, and Eye Balm Intense, released two years later in 2009—the new gel incorporates La Mer’s signature "Miracle Broth," an infusion of natural and sea-based ingredients like nutrient-rich kelp with energies of light and sound. But where the concentrate and the balm aim to visibly diminish the signs of aging around the eyes that have already set in—dark circles, puffiness, lines, wrinkles—the Illuminating Eye Gel aims to fight early signs of aging by brightening and hydrating, thanks to the addition of innovative ferments and light-bending sea pearls to the gel’s formula.

“At La Mer we have a very limited range to begin with and our customers have been asking for new La Mer experiences to fit their lifestyle,” shared Loretta Miraglia, senior vice president of global brand product development and innovation. “It took us a long time to create something extraordinary. This is a perfect example of a ‘travel friendly’ powerhouse. It not only changes the way your eyes feel, but it energizes and brightens your whole look.”

A real eye opener, peepers look and feel perkier courtesy of the sweet smelling, velvety cream which instantly smoothes and softens.

$145; In store at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale’s; LaMer.com.
