The Best of Fashion Week: Fall/Winter 2015

From New York to Milan, London to Paris, our favorite looks from the fall/winter 2015 runways.

New York Fashion Week turned out a range of ultra-chic looks for women, borrowed from the boys. Among the looks we covet: the clean lines and expert tailoring of Derek Lam’s fancified tee shirt and flared trouser combo (left); the tomboyish ensemble from Michael Kors, pairing a girly evening skirt with patent leather brogues and a crisp, white collared shirt (middle); and the handsome, layered feel of Costello Tagliapietra’s country-inspired three-piece, herringbone suit (right)See the slideshow »

Our favorite looks from London Fashion Week inject new energy into classic, ladylike staples with edgy, offbeat twists. Take, for example, this ensemble from Erdem (left), whose sensual, sheer skirt adorned with ostrich feathers counters the conservative turtleneck on top; Jonathan Saunders’ graphic update to the everyday blouse-and-skirt combo (middle); or Simone Rocha’s gothic spin on the little black dress (right). See the slideshow »

Milan Fashion Week took texture to the max, as seen in Gucci’s shimmering, pleated lurex dress accented with mink cuffs (just one example of Alessandro Michele's womenswear debut) (left); Fendi’s head-to-toe, color blocked fur complete with sweater, skirt, jacket, and even shoes (middle); and No. 21’s textile mash-up of grey cable knits and gold lamé jacquard (right). See the slideshow »

Not-so-subtle accents add extra dynamism to our favorite looks from the Paris Fashion Week runways, including a bold daisy necklace and blue teardrop earring duet from Miu Miu (left); thick black tassels hanging from leather skirts at Lanvin (middle); and a ton of boho fringe (plus a slim rock n’ roll scarf) from Chloe (right). See the slideshow »
