Botanic Beauty

Jeweller David Lee Holland

"I grew up surrounded by deep green Alabama forests and then I moved to New York," says David Lee Holland, whose finely wrought 18-karat-gold work suggests a wistful fascination with botanic beauty. Crinkly geranium leaf earrings mimic blooms he first saw at Manhattan's old Chelsea Flower Market; the evergreen pin with pink diamond harks back to the pine trees of his native state; the acorn cap ring matches the acorns scattered about the courtyard of a monastery near Delphi, in Greece. "These pieces," Holland says, "are an attempt to bring a bit of nature back into my life." From $1,500 to $28,000; 212-925-1944
