Harley Davidson’s Project LiveWire

Harley-Davidson is using crowdsourcing to develop its first electric motorcycle, Project LiveWire. Its 74-horsepower electric motor tops out at 92 mph and has a range of 53 miles (with a charging time of three-and-a-half hours).

Chief marketing officer Mark-Hans Richer likens the bike to “a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier.” That can be for you to decide, with feedback welcomed. Through 2015, look for test-drive opportunities via the Project LiveWire tour.
