Limited Edition

Artega GT The first model from this upstart carmaker is by auto architect Henrik Fisker (ex–Aston Martin). Its high speeds are north of 165 mph, but the real goods are in the design, which promises to be compact on the outside but supremely comfortable within. $106,100; 49-5250/938-310

The Cayman S Porche design edition 1 was created to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the company’s Design Studio. And so along with a sleek black body and leather upholstery, this Cayman also comes with a chronograph. $70,000; 800-767-7243

The Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series is a Formula 1 safety vehicle modified for the street. But it still has the AMG 6.3-liter V-8 engine and a top speed of 186 mph, plus it goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. $135,800; 800-367-6372

Museum Worthy

Japanese artist Takashi Murakami brought his colorful anime-inspired prints to Louis Vuitton’s classic monogram bags four years ago. Quite fittingly, his retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles has a shop dedicated to the collaboration, with exclusively designed limited-edition pieces. Neverfull bag, $965, available through February 11; 866-884-8866; moca.org

Haute Tomes

Designer Karl Lagerfeld’s bookmaking first caught our eye with a 95-pound anthology of Interview magazine. Now almost every volume we want on our coffee table is by his Edition 7L. Current favorite: Bob Colacello’s Out, a look back at the Warhol era, with some of the most surprising pictures—and wittiest captions—we’ve seen. $50; amazon.com
