"At the end of the day most guys dress alike: suit, tie, shoes," says Michael Macko, men’s fashion director of Saks Fifth Avenue. "Gloves are one of those finishing touches that take you from perfectly well dressed to truly chic." And it’s never been easier to make that sartorial leap. Men’s designers focused on a winning hand this season: Alessandro Dell’Acqua showed his sleek blazers with wool gloves stroked with silver paint. And Bottega Veneta paired driving gloves with tuxedos, while at Prada there were elbow-length gauntlets.
