Welcome to Me

After stealing the show on Saturday Night Live, Kristen Wiig solidified her status as one of Hollywood’s premier funny women with Bridesmaids. Her deadpan crazy eyes will be put to good use in director Shira Piven’s dark comedy about a woman who quits her meds after winning the lottery and buys herself a talk show. Wiig will be supported by another former SNL luminary, Will Ferrell, as well as Tim Robbins, Wes Bentley and Joan Cusack. It can’t hurt that director Piven is not only married to Adam McCay of Anchorman fame, but her brother is Ari Gold himself (actor Jeremy Piven of Entourage fame).
